It was 2023, and there was a vision to create something specific for Change Makers like you. And while it wasn’t the first time I’d felt like I’d been given an assignment I didn’t want, it was the first time that assignment was laid out so plainly—and I immediately rejected it in my heart.

I’m no stranger to hard things.
But this felt different. Bigger than anything I’d ever created.
I remember thinking: How is this even possible when I’m already working on a community-wide project?

Some made it out, only to end up tucked away in Google Drive.

But then there’s the one—
The one that changes everything.
It drums up so much momentum you forget it was something you once decided was too big to take on.

And now?
It’s happening.
It’s just what your community needed.
It’s solving the problems you expected it would.

But something still lingers, Reader.

I’m sharing this now because too many of us are still sitting on things we’ve already been assigned.
